In this week’s lecture we learnt about the history of computer and internet as well as looking closely into the social media industry. From this lecture, everyone became aware of the intention of the Internet, it was created for military use to improve the speed of communication and to deliver information more effectively.

The Internet is invented by not just one person but many for different purposes. The invention of Internet and Technology provided many job opportunities which do not even exist previously. The Internet commerce we know today has and is continuing to evolve with the help of advancing technology. Invention of future technology might advance the way we live in different aspects such as transportation, education and medical which helps to improve the quality of our lives.
The growth of Internet users increases years by years. Like everything else, the development of Internet and social media have its pros and cons. Internet and social media makes our life easier. With just a click of a button we could get information. However, people are too dependent on the Internet. Internet causes social isolation. We should value technology and social media sensibly and have better management to balance our lives in between the virtual world and actual world.
