Boardwalk observation

We were assigned to do an observation at the Boardwalk corridor. As a group of five we headed down there and did some strange activities we usually wouldn’t do. The main factor that attracted our attention was how everyone was engrossed in their technological devices and ignored their surrounding. Virtually everyone was looking down at their mobile phones whilst walking. This is a very dangerous action because it could lead to accidents.We did a little experiment or rather a trick to see if people would actually look up from their mobile. So, we walked in a row towards people looking down their phones and pretended like we couldn’t see them. Neither of us gave way to them, the purpose of this was to see if they’d actually realized they’re in a trap.

Collectively, we have decided that the most interesting person we saw today were the coloured hair people. Reason being is because it take courage and bravey to do such things and it takes an advanced level of courage and bravery to be satisfied with the result and exhibit it to the world.

As for the interesting line we heard of eavesdropping other people’s conversation, the common question was “where do we eat”. It’s relateable because we ask the exact question everyday.

The atmosphere was covered in think layer and heavy smell of cigarette smoke lingered in the air, particularly by Starbucks. The environment was relatively calm and quiet because it wasn’t the peak hour. However during the peak hours, it becomes packed. It was incredibly ethnically diverse, there were many interracial couples and group of friends that were diverse. This shows the unity within the campus.
